We’ve customized XMRig to allow Monero miners to specify a target Qubic computor ID when mining. This lets you help boost specific IDs and influence the XMR-based ranking of computors on Qubic.

  • Choose any computor ID to support.
  • Use your Monero hashrate to push that ID higher in the XMR reward rankings.

Faq

Why mine XMR for a Qubic ID?

The XMR scoreboard plays a critical role in defining the future composition of the Qubic network.

  • It’s a way to vote with your CPU. Choose the computors you believe should remain active.
  • Many existing computors fall into the lower third of the scoreboard. By mining for them, we can raise the baseline and improve overall network quality.
  • This is a test: if you believe in Qubic, now is your chance to show it with real action.

What If There Are No Rewards?

We hear you. If the experiment shows that only a few are willing to help, we’ll activate fallback rewards.

  • Some community members have already donated QUs.
  • We may also ask the computor-controlled fund (CCF) to allocate a small reward pool.
  • Don’t expect massive rewards, but do expect impact.
